In addition to respectfully disagreeing with your statement, I must also point out to you that electing Paul based on hindsight is not a good idea. It’s debatable whether his foreign policy would have been better in 2001, but we’ve reached a certain degree of “no going back.”
Isolationism is fine if your nation is self-sustaining, but we depend far too much on other countries for our needs, not to mention our massive debt to China. Simply withdrawing will have economic ramifications as well as political ones.
I don’t even want to get into our relationship is Israel in this regard, especially considering that Iran and Syria consider Israel and the US as one entity when it comes to their political terrorism goals.
^He doesn’t advocate isolationism. It’s called non-interventionism, and yes, there is a big fucking difference. Your argument about economically depending on China, holds no weight because Ron Paul is the most pro free trade of all the candidates. You should probably stop depending on Bill O’ Reiley to tell you wheat to believe and do your own damn research.
“Yeah, he was correct on everything he said was going to happen, and offered the solutions to prevent it from happening. But come on man… that’s so obvious now!”
Thank you for respectively disagreeing with me. YouTube “Ron Paul on [insert word here]” and have your eyes opened.
Must be photoshopped, he’s wearing an Obama pin, and no true fratstar (which this guy would totally be) would wear a suit that looked that shitty, this guys a geed.
Ron Paul is batshit insane. I’m all for libertarians, but Jesus Christ he takes it too far. Gingrich or Romney 2012 all the way. A vote for Paul after he loses the GOP nomination (AGAIN) might as well be a vote for Comrade Obama. The man can’t win. Period.
Agreedm, Lynchem. Paul is a Liberal running on a republican ticket. All i need to do is listen to his views on Iran and decreasing the size of the militarty and other Federal jobs involving homeland security, and it makes me sick. Hes on that wanrs us to be EQUAL to all other countries, NOT BETTER, as we always have been and hopefully always will be.
^You basically just said that big government is conservative. And we wonder why we can’t balance the damn budget, when we have republicans in charge like you. You may want to do some studying on the principles America was founded on, before letting the MSM form all of your views for you.
Im not saying i want a federal government that is too big, or that is intrusive into the general public’s lives. I have no problem with Homeland Security trying to find out about and prevent terrorist attacks. These are different times then when America was founded, and while some of the principals are still applicable and realisitc, the world is a much different place and we need to keep pace and continue being better than everyone else, not trying to be “equal” and “friends” with everyone. Someone will always be the world power, and as soon as we start decresing the size of our armed forces and Dept. of HS, he start traveling down the road to loosing our title of the best and most powerfull country in the world.
^We’ve only had the Dept. of Homeland Security since 2002. In my opinon, it’s quite unnecessary. While times certainly have changed since our founding, the nature of government and the nature of people never do. When a society starts willingly giving up civil liberties for so called security, it is taking a big step towards a totalitarian state. Anyone that believes that the TSA is what’s keeping us safe from terrorism is abjectly mistaking.
I agree the TSA is a cluster fuck, and has alot of uneducated “agents” wasting government money, but i think its a bit much to start getting rid of entire departments.
Obama:
Pro government, big spending, tax increasing, liberty-stealing young black man.
Ron Paul:
Limited government, spending cutting, tax reducing, advocate of liberty old white man.
great photoshoping absolutely great.
14 years ago at 6:27 pmI’d take Paul over Obama in a heartbeat if he gets the GOP nomination, but he would not be as good as Newt or–hate to say this–Romney.
I read through his proposed foreign policy and I just couldn’t get the images of the World Trade Center burning out of my mind.

14 years ago at 7:20 pmSeconded. Frat on sir
14 years ago at 8:32 pmHe predicted 9/11 and tried to warn about it. We followed his foreign policy, it would have never happened.
14 years ago at 11:55 amExcuse me 247? Ron Paul wouldn’t be as good as the Mormon????? I have to disagree with that.
