      The term originated from a Greek word that meant “anyone who isn’t Greek”, basically insinuating that said person was inferior.

      I think we can look at the majority of history and agree that the Romans were superior to the Greeks.

      The Roman Empire was certainly superior to the Greeks in military terms (they conquered the Greeks and many others), but contemporary society owes a much bigger debt to Ancient Greece for producing some of the most prominent minds of that time – certainly better than anyone those corrupt drunken Romans could have.

      That said, being corrupt and drunk but also running the world. TFM.

    The literature of my fraternity from the 1800s suggests that it was common to refer to geeds as barbarians. I think we should bring it back.
