Personally, I take the 400 grand, but as long as you stay healthy there’s no reason you can’t go pro after college. I can’t really fault the move too much, and cannot deny that it’s pretty hardcore to choose raging like a champ over even pro ball.
Take the money now when it is a sure thing and do not risk any injuries. If baseball doesn’t work out go back to college paid for by the major league team. Seems like a no brainer to me
Once you said you got 400 grand, I decided to look into this claim, because there is no team dropping that kind of money on signing a 7th round pick. And, not surprising, none of the high school kids drafted in the 7th round had committed to a school in the SEC. Keep up the good work though.
