US Air Force Destroys Tiny Boat With 2,000-Pound Bomb
The United States Air Force wanted to demonstrate that the B-1B supersonic stealth bomber, affectionately named the “bone,” is an effective weapon against Iranian high-speed military boats, Somali pirates, other surface sea vessels, or at this point, anything that floats. So, in an act described as “using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut,” they let the “bone” loose and it dropped the fucking hammer on an unmanned speedboat in the form of a 2,000-pound laser-guided bomb.
If you aren’t erect right now, you don’t have a pulse.
Asked about the display, Lt. Col. Alejandro Gomez said, “This evaluation solidifies what our crew members have already known: We can strike surface targets.” Yep, you read that correctly. The Air Force just wanted to remind themselves, and anyone else who may be wondering, that they can blow shit up with payload to spare.
God bless America.

I hope those planes have a long and fruitful career cracking Middle Eastern “walnuts.”

12 years ago at 4:37 pmNot to bring down the mood, but this is actually a very significant test. Repeated simulations show that US Naval vessels, while the most effective “blue-water” fighting force in the world, are vulnerable to small missile boat/suicide boat “en mass” assaults. That being said, we have plenty of other methods of smacking those Persian shits back to the stone age (even using decades old technology like the B-1). Kick some ass air force
12 years ago at 4:39 pmThis is also a significant accuracy test. if they can target, track, and impact on a ridiculously small target from 30,000 feet with one of their larger (and I’m assuming less maneuverable) munitions, they can more accurately target specific parts of larger boats such as the engine room or the bridge.
12 years ago at 6:44 pmIts a practice bomb. There’s no big boom.
