US Air Force Uses ISIS Recruit’s Selfie On Social Media To Locate Him And Take Out ISIS Headquarters
ISIS is the Instagram “model” of terrorist organizations. They recruit weak-minded individuals to follow their every word, and they are obsessed with social media.
Now clearly this has gained them notoriety and has worked in their favor helping them with expansion of their organization. However, the thing about social media is that it can bite you in the ass. No one is immune. Even ISIS.
From Defense Tech:
“The guys that were working down out of Hurlburt, they’re combing through social media and they see some moron standing at this command. And in some social media, open forum, bragging about the command and control capabilities for Daesh, ISIL. And these guys go: ‘We got an in.’ So they do some work, long story short, about 22 hours later through that very building, three [Joint Direct Attack Munitions] take that entire building out.”
I just imagine this kid standing out front of his base, taking selfies for 20 or so minutes, deleting and sorting through multiple takes, and finally finding the best one before throwing on a filter like Earlybird. That fire flame photo then got roughly four to six likes from his comrades, and 22 hours later, those comrades were rewarded with actual fire flames. Thanks for making it easier on the red, white, and blue, player..
