I think you misunderstand me, I hardly consider an charity auction or deb ball a “networking event” but you just happen to network at them. Clearly my effort to highlight the lack of effort it takes for me to get a job was poorly communicated
Point taken. There is a huge difference between “Networking Events” (ie motivational seminars and functions for low-rent realtors and sales professionals) and first class charity events that you happen to, for lack of a better word, “network” at.
Get a trust fund, then you won’t have to go to these networking events.
