(VIDEO) 3 Fraternity Guys Get Locked In A Plexiglass Room With Natty Light, Sharpies, And A Pledge…For Art
Normally, I’m not all that into modern art. Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t see the appeal of a fresco depicting the Last Supper at a TGI Fridays made from human feces, nor do I enjoy watching a dog dressed like a cat bark at whatever the opposite of a mailman is, for irony, or something. Thankfully modern art has finally been made frat, thanks to the ingenious efforts of artist Richie Budd, who titled the piece “C’mon Guy.” Budd’s idea was simple, take three fraternity guys, 30 cases of Natty Light (which Natty donated to the project), some sharpies, and of course a pledge and lock them in a plexiglass room for the amusement of others. I could watch that all day, how is there not a webcam on this thing?
The guys spend their time drinking, hazing, puking, harassing, and engaging in other general tomfoolery, all while locked in their transparent cell. It’s sort of like a happy episode of Oz. The piece was displayed at the SCOPE art fair in New York and I absolutely refuse to believe there was anything better, so pack up your pictures of genocide victims wearing clown makeup, because you lose, other artists.
Here are some videos of the fraternity guys drunkenly doing shit in their FaF art prison. Enjoy.
