VIDEO: Gary Player Tells Hilarious Story Of Arnold Palmer Taking A Shit On A Green In Japan

I never questioned the fact that three-time Masters champion Gary Player was the man after I was fortunate enough to work with him a few years ago. As I strode into the foyer of his daughter’s house in northeastern Pennsylvania for the first time, I saw an enormous zebra skin covering the floor, at which Gary pointed and said, “I killed this myself in South Africa.”

That’s the kind of guy Gary Player is–a real-straight shooter, and one hell of a comedian when he gets going, too.

He showed off some of his remarkable story-telling abilities this morning from Augusta on a Golf Channel interview for the lead-up show to the Masters, which everyone knows tees off tomorrow morning.

The context? Oh, just the time Arnold Palmer took a shit on a green during an event in Japan. I’m going to give Mr. Player’s Japanese dialect a 10/10.

For the record, The Black Knight doesn’t clean up his stories for anyone, even his wife, for who I can attest really sets the bar in the fresh squeezed lemonade game.
