VIDEO: Jon Stewart Hijacks Colbert’s Late Show In Hilarious Fashion

Last year, comedian Jon Stewart left The Daily Show on Comedy Central after hosting it for 16 years (it has since been handed off to new host, stand-up comic Trevor Noah.)

Since then, the iconic TV personality has mostly laid low. He’s popped up a little bit on TV from time to time, but, for the most part, he seems to mostly just be straying from the spotlight and just enjoying retirement. But a few nights ago, he returned for one night.

On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Stewart popped up and gave his old friend Colbert a visit (Colbert got his start as a Daily Show correspondent back in the day, before getting his own show The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, then taking over for David Letterman as the new Late Show host last year.)

With the big, crazy election cycle this year, and the fact that the Republican National Convention just wrapped up the other night, it was the perfect time for Stewart to come drop some bombs on us real quick.

The performance is fast, fierce, and funny as fuck. It makes you wish Stewart was still hosting The Daily Show right now, especially during this especially eventful election year.

It’s funny that they rejoice Ailes’s departure from FNC — BUT Stewart lost his job first because of failing ratings, explored directorial realm to no avail and The Late Show’s ratings with Stephen Colbert has been low since he took over. They stand on a pulpit only a few a listen to. Fox News is still my best source of news and a great place to watch opinion shows.

“Best source of news” ok buddy let us know when you grow up and understand that Fox News is a pander machine that is more interested in serving you their product instead of accurately reporting the news with any sense of journalistic integrity. Before you start complaining that everything else is “the liberal media” let me stop you right there and agree with you… while still arguing that just because the other side reports with a slant doesn’t make Fox News a credible news source. Fox News is the worst thing that has ever happened to the Republican Party and I cannot and will not respect anyone who can’t see that
