Straight pride – FaF
This is not offensive in any way, they can be proud and it’s politically correct but if regular people are proud it’s suddenly ignorance? Gays and Libs definitely need to get off this site if they’re being offended.
Actually the original post was that we sold straight pride T shirts next to the group selling gay pride T shirts and did it for half the cost. but they revised it.
Agreed, it’s both ignorant and stupid to believe one group – in this case gays – has a right to express their pride, and another group needs to be denied that right. Straight people have every right to express themselves, nothing homophobic about it
Everyone assumes that you are proud of being straight. There is no social stigma attached to being straight therefore no reason to be ashamed of it, leaving pride or indifference, and there’s something wrong if you are indifferent about who you are. What I find interesting is the fact that you felt the need to assert that you are straight and proud of being straight, which says to me that it isn’t something you think would be assumed, which may imply that aren’t completely comfortable about your sexuality, even though it is the norm.
The reason this post is intolerant is because you are clearly proud of the fact that you got quadruple the support, otherwise you wouldn’t have included it in your post. This means that you feel like you have a bigger right to be proud of being straight than they do of being gay. It is well within your rights to have that point of view, but by the same logic it is well within the rights of those of us who disagree with you to think of you as an ignorant redneck. Just keep that in mind.
The biggest thing that disappoints me about this post is that it came from Washington state, a relatively liberal place, and one where gay pride events actually happen with regularity. It seems to me that your insensitivity will label you in a way that wouldn’t be socially favorable, but maybe you’re just TFTC.

That is the worst delivery of a joke I have ever heard. If this was indeed meant to be funny, then you really suck at comedy.

14 years ago at 6:10 pmI recently learned that it’s impossible to discriminate against a straight white male.
14 years ago at 6:21 pmSeriously, what is wrong with being proud of being straight? Anyone who thinks this is awful or intolerant is the worst kind of person.
