Watch A Side-By-Side Comparison Of American Pharaoh And Secretariat Race At Belmont

The Wall Street Journal put American Pharaoh’s 2015 Belmont Stakes Triple Crown victory alongside Secretariat’s from 1973 to see which horse would have won.

American Pharaoh is fast, but is he Secretariat fast?

No.

I don’t think we’ll ever see another horse that’s Secretariat fast.
On a separate note, American Pharoah’s jockey has been the jockey for two other Triple Crown contenders for the same stable recently, so I know where my money is going next year.

I wonder if the owners jerk off the jockeys before the jockeys get put down like they do for the horses, you know, so they can keep breeding those tiny little men.

It’s nice to see a more or less fair comparison. It’s hard to compare greats of the past to modern stars in sports like Baseball, Football, and Basketball. But speed kills, and Secretariat is the GOAT (like MJ).

Interested to see how much faster Secretariat could have been if he had had another horse challenging him.

Moved on from little boys to horses? I guess penis size really does matter.

Thanks Dorno, I didn’t believe that 2:26 was slower than 2:24 but you’ve found video evidence and made a believer out of me

American Pharoah gets to spend the rest of his days porking other thoroughbreds. #LivingtheDream

FYI, American Pharoah’s famed trainer, Bob Baffert, was an SAE at U of Arizona.

Secretariat was a freak of nature. He literally took off and was only challenged by his rival Sham for the first half the race which set an incredible pace. The amazing thing is, Secretariat kept the pace the entire race. His jockey didn’t even use his whip. Secretariat was from a different universe. A fucking American legend. No horse will come close to his time at the Belmont.
