WATCH: Crazy Video Of Badass House Cat Saving Little Boy From Vicious Dog Attack

This is one of the craziest, most backward videos I’ve ever watched. At first we see a neighborhood dog come upon an adorable boy playing on his bicycle. Great, that happens all the time. It sounds like a Norman Rockwell painting, not the beginning of a late ’90s “When Animals Attack” special on Fox, voiced by a man telling terrible jokes in an oddly deliberate tone. (“Ironically, as the bear tore ferociously at the hikers’ flesh, their picnic basket remained untouched.”) However, instead of acting like man’s best friend, something sets the dog off and it goes into full kill mode, attacking the boy.

If that isn’t enough, what ends up saving the little boy from what was sure to be a vicious mauling isn’t his own trusty, loyal pup, but rather the family’s pissed off house cat, which immediately leaps to action and chases off the dog. A hero…cat? That just doesn’t sound right, but the video speaks for itself.

That’s a tough cat. A real junkyard cat. You earned your 17 hour nap today, Mr. Mistoffelees.
