That was Justin Thomas with the cold shank of a lifetime. One of the best golfers in the world with a shot so bad that even your shitty golfing buddies would get shit from the rest of the group had he hit it. But it wasn’t one of your shitty friends. It was Justin Thomas, a guy with a 59 on the books and three wins in 2017.

He went for a flop shot, opened up the club face, took a full swing, and he bladed it into next week.

Golf is the most frustrating game on the planet, but it can’t but help your soul a little bit to see a professional golfer who’s having a hell of a year make the same mistake us normals do. All those swings on the range, the gift of elite hand-eye coordination, the muscle memory — still out there blading it. I love seeing this. I love it. I’m a Justin Thomas fan but I could watch him shank all day long.

Pro golfers, they’re just like us except not at all but sometimes maybe every now and then.
