Will Floyd Mayweather Return To The Ring?

It’s been less than a year since Money hung up the gloves, but rumor has it that he’s already considering jumping back into the ring again.

He’s reportedly being offered upwards of 9 figures to put the gloves back on. Even though he was the highest paid athlete in the world, it’s probably still hard to look at that offer and say “nah man, thanks, though.”

The guy has mostly been out of the limelight these past 6 months, other than the news that he bought a pet tiger. (But seriously, though, between Mayweather and Mike Tyson, I’m convinced that it’s literally illegal for a rich boxer to not have a tiger.)

He retired last September with an undefeated record of 49-0, but his company, Mayweather Promotions, recently filed trademarks for “TBE 50” and “TMT 50,” implying he might return to try to grab one more win. In a recent interview, he said he’d been talking to CBS and Showtime about a possible fight.

His last blockbuster bout was with Manny Pacquiao last May, and while the fight advertised as “The Fight Of The Century” was disappointing to some fans, Floyd walked away with a whopping $200 million and the fight raked in 600 mil in pay per view receipts. Hey, they don’t call him “Money” for nothin’.

So will the self-proclaimed TBE fight again? Who will he go up against? Amir Khan? GGG? Superman? Batman? I guess we’ll see soon enough.

I just personally can’t wait to see his angry haters come out of the woodwork. Oh, you called him “Gayweather”? How original! Oh, he’s too defensive of a fighter? Thanks, fat dude on Facebook who’s apparently a boxing expert now.

But the main question on people’s minds: will there be a Pacquiao rematch? Who the hell knows, but if so, I personally can’t wait for “Pacquiao Fans Make Excuses Pt. 2.”.
