It pays to be an SEC football coach, and the new head coach at South Carolina, Will Muschamp, is currently reaping the rewards of said honor. Fresh off a five-year, $16M contract with the Cocks, he clearly felt inclined to spend some of that fun money. What better way than to purchase a house in your new hometown? Better yet, why not just purchase a whole island for good measure?

Muschamp purchased property on Lake Murray — literally an island with a mansion on it — for a mere $1.85M. The land features two houses: a main house and a guest house. The main house, which Muschamp and his hot wife will be residing in, is a quaint 9,400 square foot behemoth which also comes with 6,700 square feet of decks and porches. It is a nice little 5 bedroom, 5.2 bathroom palace that Will is going to certainly enjoy.

Hell, even the guest house is pretty badass. It comes in at just over 2,600 square feet.

Thanks to Century 21, we have some pictures of this beauty.

Sorry to all you unruly Cock fans out there who will want to set up outside with pitchforks when things go south, but the only thing connecting his house to the mainland is a small causeway. Oh, and you can only be escorted onto the property.

When he re-sells it after he gets canned, do you think his wife will come with the property?

Now he’ll have somewhere to hide when Clemson beats them by 30 in Death Valley next year

What does 5.2 bathrooms entail? Where does the 0.2 come into play, like is it just a room with a sink?

that shows you how dirt cheap it is to live in South Carolina and the rest of the south. 1.7 gets you a house in a nice neighborhood where I live

Just like most places, it depends on where you’re choosing to live in the state.. Lake Murray and other rural areas are cheap, go to a historical section of Charleston and you’ll be lucky to get under $400 per square foot.

Why the fuck does he have two cars there??Going to race to the guest house? If I read correctly it’s on a island.

Yes, because having two sports cars, and a 3 car garage on an island 500 yards long (if that) is practical. He can drive up and down his driveway all day when he gets fired I guess.
