William & Mary Officials Are Pissed As Hell About This Drug Bust, Call Police Claim “Disgusting and Erroneous”

School officials at the College of William & Mary are not happy with Williamsburg Police after the execution of a drug bust on campus earlier this week. As reported on TFM earlier in the day, police spent a month surveilling eight students, an on-campus dining worker, and a professor before arresting them all for drug violations.

As it turns out, however, police didn’t even make school officials aware of their operation. And on top of that, the school is vehemently denying some aspects of the police report, specifically the part stating that the bust was in response to multiple on-campus sexual assaults. All of this and more came to light in an internal letter sent to William & Mary students — a letter that, thanks to an anonymous tipster, we have obtained. Check it out.

If true, this is really messed up. The last organization police in a college town want to piss off is the college itself. That’s just bad for business. You couldn’t even give them at least a little heads up? Like, “Hey, just so you know, we’re going to drag your university’s name through the mud, post your students’ pictures everywhere, AND make accusations of sexual assault. Sound good?”

The students involved should be pissed as hell if they went through all of this public embarrassment just because some overzealous cops were trying to make their mark — and on the eve of 4/20, no less.

The facts will surface as this story continues to unfold, but regardless of the outcome, this whole situation obviously could have been handled better..
