World’s Dumbest Man Tries To Escape From The Police By Running Into Active Police Academy

Every so often, I come across a news article that’s not necessarily related to fraternity life, but the story is just so astoundingly stupid that I have to share it. This is one of those articles.

While I have never run from the police, I hear it is quite an exhilarating experience. A man in Biloxi, Miss., did just that, but when he fled from pursuing officers following a traffic stop, he found himself in quite possibly the worst building in the state to hide from the police.

After leading police on a chase along U.S. 90, he was seemingly oblivious to all warning signs surrounding him. He pulled into a parking lot to seek refuge from his pursuers, and as police closed in, he dashed into the building, setting the stage for what might have been the easiest apprehension in police history.

From ABC13:

Biloxi Police Chief John Miller Police Chief John Miller tells The Sun-Herald 30-year-old Roger Beasley Jr. was stopped by officers last Wednesday on U.S. 90 in the city. Miller’s statement says Beasley jumped from his vehicle and ran.

According to police, Beasley didn’t notice marked police cars outside the Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy. He says Beasley ran into the building while training was in session – and arrested.

Yes, sir, you read that correctly. He mindlessly ran directly into an active police training facility. For his sake, I am desperately clinging to some hope that he was higher than the fucking space station while making the most idiotic move of his life.

He was eventually brought to jail and booked on charges of intent to distribute crack cocaine, resisting arrest, and careless driving.
