Wounded Vet Crawls Up Mountain With One Leg To Honor Fallen Marines

It was the five-year reunion of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment’s deployment in Afghanistan, a tour that claimed Josue Barron’s left leg and eye. Some men from his unit lost even more. Glancing ahead at the crosses mounted at the top of the steep incline, Barron removed his prosthetic leg.

“The leg wasn’t working the way I wanted it to work, so I just took it off and kind of crawled on my arms and one leg,” he told FOX 5.

With his hands in the dirt, the scorching sun on his back, and his fellow Marines at his side, Barron somehow managed to pull himself to the top of the mountain.

Watch the incredible moment below, brought to you by FOX 5:

Barron sustained his injuries when a fellow Marine stepped on a roadside bomb. Around 350 people gathered at Camp Pendleton in Southern California on Saturday to pay tribute.

The video, showcasing Barron’s grit, determination, and courage, quickly went viral, and he agreed to do a follow-up:

“I can’t let my amputation and my eye slow me down,” he said.

Meanwhile college kids who are about the same age are offended when someone writes “Trump ’16” on campus. As a Marine vet I think your safe spaces can go Fuck themselves
