You Don’t Deserve A Dog If You Wouldn’t Fist Fight A Cougar For It

Alberta, Canada, is apparently the most dangerous spot in the world for wild animal attacks this winter. From a moose clobbering people in the streets to cougars waiting outside a Tim Hortons for an easy meal to walk by, all heads on a swivel in that crazy Canadian province.

William Gibb, 31, stopped at a Tim Hortons in Alberta to meet a friend for coffee when he found himself throwing hands at a vicious predatory cat.

He let his two dogs out of his truck near the wooded area behind the restaurant before going inside. Moments later, he heard some thrashing and one of his dogs, a five-year-old husky named Sasha, cry out.

So William ran up and started swinging at the figure (it was dark out) on top of his dog. Turns out it was a goddamn cougar. He punched it in the head. The ferocious feline pawed back at him, basically engaging in a boxing match. So he kept throwing hands.

From The Globe and Mail:

Gibb let his two dogs out of his truck for a bathroom break near a wooded area at the back of a parking lot and it wasn’t long before he heard one of them crying in pain.

He quickly ran into the trees, where his five-year-old husky Sasha was on the ground.

“I saw this thing on top of her,” said the 31-year-old. “So I ran over and punched it in the head, thinking maybe it was a coyote or something.”

When the animal jumped off, Gibb said, he realized it was a cougar.

“I backed it up into a tree and was swinging at it some more and screaming for my brother and my buddy, Travis, to come over and get the dogs.”

He saw Sasha bleeding and twitching on the ground and scooped her up but she bit him on the hand, thinking he was the cat, he said. When the dog later recognized her owner, she ran off.

Gibb continued to fight the cat.

“I was still throwing punches toward the cougar. The cougar was kind of pawing back at me.”

Sasha got torn up pretty good, suffering “two large cuts on her chest, four puncture wounds on her neck and other cuts and scrapes,” but she got all stitched up and is recovering at home.

Officers arrived at the scene and shot and killed the cougar. Sad!

The fuck? This isn’t funny, nor does it make sense. Why are people upvoting it?

      1. Yeah, Dorn because I don’t deserve a dog unless I fight an apex predator makes total sense.
