9 In 10 Native Americans Are Cool With The Redskins Name And Wait, You’re Telling Me It Was White People Who Were Pissed All Along?

A recent survey of 504 people conducted by the Washington Post found that 9 in 10 Native Americans are not offended by the Washington Redskins team name. Hell, they wouldn’t even be offended if a non-Native called them a Redskin to their face.

The survey of 504 people across every state and the District reveals that the minds of Native Americans have remained unchanged since a 2004 poll by the Annenberg Public Policy Center found the exact same result. Responses to The Post’s questions about the issue were broadly consistent regardless of age, income, education, political party or proximity to reservations.

Among the Native Americans reached over a five-month period ending in April, more than 7 in 10 said they did not feel the word “Redskin” was disrespectful to Indians. An even higher number — 8 in 10 — said they would not be offended if a non-native called them that name.

Wait, so Native Americans aren’t the ones who are pissed off about the Redskins name? It’s actually a bunch of white people who think they know what’s best for another culture they know nothing about? Shocker.

And why would Native Americans be offended? We’re celebrating the sheer badassery of their people. People say, “Oh you’re turning them into a caricature!” Yeah, a motherfucking sweet caricature that rides into a hail of gunfire on horseback, murking settlers with tomahawks. It’s more of a superhero than a caricature.

Our accountant has a pretty interesting conspiracy theory as to why a small percentage of Native Americans are “angered” over the name. He thinks that maybe the Redskins are paying them under the table to chill out about it, and that the more outraged they act, the more owner Dan Snyder has to shell out to keep them quiet. Just a theory.

Yup…This kinda reminds me of the cinco de mayo outrage over white people wearing sombreros. Mexicans didnt give a shit but white self hating liberals were outraged on their behalf

Yea, as a black guy, most of the time when someone thinks something is offensive the race in question couldn’t really give two shits

What pisses me off the most is the fact that like you said the race in question doesn’t give a fuck. A lot of these “offensive” things are brought up by butthurt liberals, SJWs and those who are influenced by mob rule. These people feel like they are doing good by “protecting a race” that they have no connection to, in order to follow the crowd and feel good about themselves.

“You should be offended therefore as a white person I am here to save you! What’s that? You’re not offended or give a shit? I don’t care! I’m here to save you from meanie butts and show all my friends my good deed!”

What really grinds my gears is when people get pissed about the Indians logo for the sheer fact that it looks like an Indian, that’s banana land crazy

Offended white people can’t even support a mascot that killed slave-driving white people.

Did anyone catch His & Hers on ESPN this morning? I hate that show to begin with but it’s what was on in the office. In short, the narrative was, the poll means nothing even though it was unbias and scientific, Redskins is still offensive and should be removed, Dan Snyder is an asshole because he’s rich, and white people should more or less stop talking.

#1 ESPN should stick to fucking sports and leave social and political issues alone. I don’t watch ESPN to get a damn civics lesson ramrodded in my face, I watch it to relax after a long day in addition to fueling my sports gambling addiction

#2 If ESPN is going to address these issues, don’t do it on an already racially driven show with an established bias. Use Bob Ley or Jeremy Schaap or at least someone that can objesctivly report a story.

#3 Has anyone else noticed that ESPN is beginning to suck ass in recent years?

I love how the poll “means nothing” because it doesn’t support their narrative. If it showed something like “5/10 Native American’s find it offensive” it would be used like a blonde whore on nickel night.

Fox sports tends to be more objective. They do run some opinion stuff because anger sells, but it’s way better than what ESPN has become.

ESPN is owned by Disney and has really went off the deepend with this PC stuff. They fired loved pitcher Curt Schiling cause he didnt agree with the trans gender bathroom

I’m all in the Schilling camp but he was far from “loved” at ESPN because of his non-socialist views. The American people wanted him but of course all that matters is the very, very small percentage of people who are offended. Sacrificing the majority’s desires for an EXTREME minority is how this country is falling.

What’s next, that it’s not actually Mexicans pissed about our “sombrero and tequila” parties but instead overly sensitive white liberals? I don’t believe you sir.
