Top 10 College Football Fanbases Named By Emory Sports Marketing Analysis

The SEC and Big Ten have a strong showing in the top ten college football fanbases, just as they did in the Princeton Review’s top party school list. Still, the University of Texas is unsurprisingly number one on the list. That is especially unsurprising when you consider that revenue was a big factor in the rankings. Notre Dame is on the list as well. I’ll give it to Fighting Irish fans; they may not tailgate very well, or party hardly at all, but golly gee do they sure love football! The dark horse on the list is the University of Washington at number ten. Surprised to see them there, but hey, congrats.

      ^ Truth. If I had to pick a UGA Championship or a Falcons championship, it’s a no brainer. We love our dawgs… Except for those GT nerds, but nobody cares about them. Also gotta root for GA Southern, they’re like the football little brother to UGA where I’m from.

    Did you go to the NCG this year? Yes, ND got their ass handed to them by Alabama, but their tailgates rivaled some of the SEC tailgates from past NCGs I’ve gone to so I have to give them that.

      Can you name the only other place where people tailgate on a yacht directly next to the stadium? The answer is Tennessee.. Washington has a badass tailgate scene and their stadium gets rockin’. Don’t hate on the NW, these people love their football.

      I don’t even go to school in Alabama, but from the comments left on pretty much every article concerning the SEC, I can see why everyone hates bama fans. Ya’ll seem obnoxious as fuck.
