I guess I'm technically a GDI, but that's only because they don't have fraternities at West Point. TFM.

Yes, the Armed Forces of the US have always been, and will always be, the largest Fraternity. The Order is starting a third commission on West Point, following suit as done at VMI (Beta Commission) and The Citadel (Theta Commission).

At an alumni meeting. The final details and approvals are being ironed out as we speak.

M-W dictionary describes expand as meaning “to express at length or in greater detail”.

Great to hear. I’ve had many family members go through the Naval Academy. Very much respect, carry on soldiers.

I’ve always seen the U.S. Armed Forces as the biggest, most dominant fraternity on earth.

You Sir are part of the most honorable and respectable Fraternities in history. Frat on, and keep up the good work there. Every officer I work with from West Point is a true gentleman.

  4. Frat on sir

I’ve submitted a spin off of this having to do with my granddad being the only non-Greek in our family because he went there as well.

    Anyway, keep it up.

ROTC is offered at many Universities, therefore raising the probability of his school having fraternities which does indeed solve the problem in the original TFM post. Said post was claiming he is technically a GDI because his school does not offer the ability to join a fraternity. In summary he could pursue his career in the military while enjoying life no longer as a GDI.

^we have an active involved in Army ROTC, and when i rushed we had a few Air Force ROTC and a couple Army ROTC guys. i know, probably a “cool story, bro” type of comment, just talking from my experience with such a situation

The Creed: You’re a fucking ignorant retard. Telling slampieceslamma he should have done ROTC is like walking up to Andrew Luck and telling him he should have played club football so he could be in a fraternity. ROTC is a JOKE compared to going through an Academy. Nothing against ROTC, I support everyone in the military, but if going greek is your deciding factor on whether to do ROTC or go to fucking WEST POINT then you have no business being an officer.

Same here. Conversely, I’ve never heard of a school that barred men from doing both.

You can definitely do both. I’m doing it right now. I’ve never heard of a school not allowing it personally, but I do know that it’s frowned upon by cadre because the constant raging gives off a “bad impression”.

I don’t think they are allowed to at some schools. We have 2 actives right now doing army ROTC… although the school may or may not be aware of their membership.
