While he deserves all the credit in the world for his leadership of our nation during the second world war, his domestic policies were disgustingly socialist

Old money. Uncle was President while he went to Harvard (Pierce Bush?). Slammed D.C. interns left and right while he was Secretary of the Navy during WWI and his wife never gave him shit. Led the nation to victory in WWII. Said yes to the development of a fucking nuclear bomb. TFM

This guys knows what he’s talking about. He was also ADPhi in college, and although many of his programs became the basis for the modern welfare state, the reforms he implemented were pretty moderate by today’s standards–he mostly put people to work. Most of the blame for socialist policies lies with JBJ’s “Great Society.”

To a certain extent, FDR was also a constitutional criminal among the likes of Abraham Lincoln and Obama. FDR’s court packing scene was completely unconstitutional as well as the Social Security Act. Abraham Lincoln suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus without constitutional approval (unconstitutional), and last Obama signed the NDAA into law, the National Defense AUthorization Act allows the Federal GOvernment to take you off the street, detain you indefinitely without warning, will not have to tell you your charges, and you will not get a day in court, this all goes against the 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th and the Writ of Habeas Corpus. 1) Art. I, sec. 9, clause 2 says the President can suspend habeas corpus in times of rebellion.

      2) Jefferson Davis also suspended habeas corpus. Southerners calling one of our greatest Presidents a tyrant without knowing their own history is such a tired bit.

Truman said it wasn’t even his hardest decision as president. Forgot what his hardest decision was, but that’s besides the point.
