A United States Government Agency Is Tweeting Stupid Advice For Traveling Spring Breakers
Sure, most of you guys are already home from spring break and could have used this advice weeks ago, but when push comes to shove, this is still much-needed advice. Our good friends over at the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs tweeted out the following this afternoon to their followers.
Not a “10” in the US? Then not a 10 overseas. Beware of being lured into buying expensive drinks or worse—being robbed. #springbreakingbadly

This is amazing. Being a 10, this doesn’t apply to me, but it’s much needed for all those ugly people who think they will be hot shit while overseas. It’s just not going to happen. Of course, because the internet is a scary place, people got upset.
@TravelGov this is unnecessarily sexist. There are a lot of other ways to make your point. 😝

@TravelGov Every second you leave this tweet up is another second you're going to very badly regret later.

.@TravelGov fuck off.

@TravelGov delete this trash. You're a government agency rating people's appearance on a fucking scale of 1-10.

@TravelGov don't like the tone of this tweet. Relegating people into numbers is objectification at its worst.

Lighten up, guys. Clearly these people getting upset are not 10s and need to take this advice very seriously so they don’t get robbed.
However, their tweet yesterday might have been even better.
Somebody offered you a free trip abroad, but the free luggage they offered is lined with cocaine. Beware of these scams #springbreakingbadly

Best spring break ever..
Don’t think cocaine lined luggage would be such a bad thing….?
