If Jesus were what this country was founded on, you’d think they’d put the word “Jesus,” or “Christian,” somewhere in the constitution.

197 of the 204 founding fathers were from a major Protestant denomination, 3 were Catholic, and the other 4 were either Huguenot’s/Calvinist’s which are both minor Christian churches. So yes, the country was founded solely by Christians. One nation, under god. Do your homework and take a lap

Actually, most of the founding fathers were Deist. Which Deism is kind of christian but not at the same time. They were all raised as Christians though.

The only thing religious about our constitution is the morals on which the founding fathers molded it from. Otherwise, it is a document ensuring rights to every American, whether Christian, Jew, Muslim, geed, or heathen. Rights not stated in the Constitution are supposed to be left to the states to create a balance in the federalist system. So please keep your mouth shut the next time you feel like this amazing country is only meant for the enjoyment of a select group.

Also, Thomas Jefferson, the man who bought the Louisiana Purchase, was the main author of the Declaration of Independence, was the 3rd president of the United States, and served as a cabinet member of George Washington’s presidency, was adamantly against organized religion, particularly in government.
