They took $5.9 billion to retool their plants to make better cars. They received none of the $80 billion in bailouts to other manufacturers that pretty much saved GM and Chrysler
Fords are not all American. Half of the components used in their trucks are foreign made. As for Dodges falling apart, they are actually the longest lasting trucks on the road according to registration info (google it if you don’t believe me). Unlike Ford and GM that designed motors around already existing trucks, Dodge took and existing motor (Cummins B-series) from one of the top diesel engine manufacturers in the world and designed a truck around it. That’s why a Dodge truck will literally last 1 million miles (there is an actual club) if you take care of it.

11 years ago at 9:29 pmDid you forget both Dodge and Chevy took the governments bailout money, while Ford refused it. Ford is FAF for doing that.
11 years ago at 9:42 pmLet us also remember that cummins engines are made by none of those 3. Damn dumb yankees.
11 years ago at 11:44 pmCummins engines are also used in Nissan Titians…
11 years ago at 9:35 pmFords are all American and they didn’t take the bailout money. Dodges fall apart and Chevrolets are partially made in Mexico.
