A&M’s Kyler Murray Didn’t Play Saturday Because Of F-Bomb Tirade At Coaches

October seems to be around the time of year that a hyped A&M team seems to start crumbling back down to reality. The Aggies and their high-powered offense were shut down Saturday in Oxford (same team that got run over by Memphis’ offense). Starting quarterback Kyle Allen looked like a dumpster fire.

With the Rebels up big in the fourth, the Aggies finally made a quarterback switch. Much to the Aggies dismay, it wasn’t highly-touted freshman Kyler Murray who entered the game. Instead, it was some dude named Jake Hubenak who came in to sling the pigskin around. It was a real head-scratching move that Sumlin made considering Murray had replaced Allen in the Alabama game for a brief stretch. Sumlin claimed that the move was made because of how the backups performed in practice.

Yeah, you’re telling me a 5-star QB with crazy athletic skills was beat out by a kid who couldn’t slum it as a walk-on at Oklahoma State and needed to go to Blinn first? Something is fishy here, and according to CBS Houston, there is a real reason that Murray didn’t play and it’s not because of practice performance.

Hence, when Murray was yanked in the Alabama game after throwing an interception, he went full F-bomb on Spavital and his fate for the Ole Miss game was sealed. But the drama did not stop with the Aggie coaching staff deciding early last week not to play Murray in Oxford.

Murray apparently did not take a single snap with the first-team offense in practice and was told he would travel and suit out for the Ole Miss game, even though he would not play.

Ahh there it is. That makes more sense.

CBS Houston also mentions that the tension between Murray and the coaches has been brewing for a while over a promise made to him during recruiting over his playing time this season. Think he’s wishing he went to Texas after all?

Can still promise he is much happier at A&M then he would be in the dumpster fire that is Texas Football.

A&M might be more glamorous because of the SEC, but College Station has none of the appeal that Austin does. I’ve lived in both. BCS is great if you want to go to Northgate every weekend. Otherwise, A&M students go to Houston, Dallas or Austin for the weekend.

He at least would have been a 4 year starter and star for Texas with no competition.

How about quit acting like an entitled little bitch and go out and take the job with your play on the field.

The amount laps I have received really hurt. You guys are right though, that is completely out of character for an African-American college athlete. Almost unheard of for that demographic to act in such a manner.
