My parents gave me a loaded stock portfolio for my 8th birthday. I forgot about it for 13 years. I checked it today and the value has almost doubled. TFM.
The TFM is inherently fratty. Having your own loaded portfolio at 8=TFM. The fact that he forgot about it just shows that either his broker took care of it or that he is wealthy enough that he had no need to look over it all the time, thus forgetting about it. Looking over your portfolio as a hobby is Frat. Obsessively pouring over it as a needed method of income is NF.
