Aqib Talib Was Too Blacked Out To Remember Being Shot

Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was shot in the leg early Sunday morning in Dallas, but can’t seem to recall all of the details. It just so happens that there was also a shooting around the same time at the V Live strip club on Empire Central Drive.

“Everything was a blur, and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened,” Talib reportedly told Dallas police, according to WFAA-TV’s Rebecca Lopez.

Lopez reported police are looking into the possibility that Talib was at a club and not a park as he claimed when he and two others were shot.

Citing the police report, Lopez said a bullet entered through rear of Talib’s right thigh and exited out his right calf.

Getting shot is a pretty scary thing, but, being blackout drunk probably helps to at least somewhat dull the pain. Still, it’s hard to imagine that Talib wouldn’t recall anymore details about the incident. As for that whole bit about him possibly lying about being at a park, he’s lucky to have his BAC as a witness going to bat for him. It’s the classic excuse of “I was blacked out, I don’t remember that.” It’s hard to fault Talib for this, as we’ve all used it before..
