Funny thing here, graduates of the four big California Schools (Stanford, Cal, USC and UCLA) all, on average, make more than their southern counterparts. I’d like to remind everyone that being a big hick–NF, Having money and being successful, TFM.
I’d consider Duke, Wake Forest, Emory and UVA to compete with such a list, not to mention all the ridiculously wealthy liberal arts colleges in the south, like Sewanee and Randolph Macon. Before you generalize an entire region, make sure you have your facts right. I could easily talk about how all Cali people are surfer geeds who say, “hang loose” and “gnarly” but I have more class than that.
“Before you generalize an entire region…” Read the comments of any TFM from California. You might have class, but the majority of the people on this website don’t.
You listed schools from different states, future, which looks less impressive than if you’d stuck to North Carolina schools and added, say, Chapel hill. To PhiGamma’s credit, those schools mentioned are probably better than others in the state. I don’t know how much that is really saying, though…
becca, phigamma was attacking the South as a region; therefore I felt obligated to mention schools from parts of it other than North Carolina. And yes, I was tempted to put UNC on this list but my educational loyalties got the best of me. Plus, I do honestly think UVA is better academically than UNC.
Insert demeaning comment towards OP’s lack of fratiness here.
