Bo Scarbrough Is +1400 To Win The Heisman And I Want His Birth Certificate
I’m back with another Mookie Bet that will make your Saturdays infinitely more fun. This bet isn’t as big of a Hail Mary as the other ones I’ve been posting, but it’s still a Steph Curry pull-up from half court. It might fall.
Bo Scarbrough is a man amongst boys in college football. The legend of Bo went viral last year after Kirk Cousins tweeted out a side-by-side picture of them when they were both in 10th grade. Genetics are something else.
Someone get me a birth certificate, but in the meantime let’s get into his Heisman candidacy.
Bo had a very quiet beginning of last year. Through the first nine games of the season, he only saw 62 carries and was ineffective at times. 5.77 YPC isn’t shabby at all, but Nick Saban was reluctant to give Bo the workload.
The final four games of the season for Bo were completely different. He went OFF for 63 carries, 454 yards rushing, and 6 touchdowns. These numbers would have been even more ridiculous if he didn’t go down with an injury the third quarter of the National Championship last season. Here are last year’s highlights that may or may not give you a quarter-chub.
There are other important factors to consider, though.
Jalen Hurts is the first Alabama QB to return since AJ McCarron did back in 2013. This will open up Alabama’s offense now that opposing teams will have to deal with a dual-threat QB and a running back the size of The Hound from GoT. Yes, Hurts has his own Heisman Candidacy to run, but it isn’t unlikely for an Alabama RB to take home the Heisman. Derrick Henry did it back in 2015, and Mark Ingram won it in 2009.
Did I mention that Lane Kiffin went hunting for college girls at FAU? Brian Daboll replaced Kiffin this offseason, and his transition will be much easier with Hurts and Scarbrough returning. Fun fact about Daboll: He was the Patriots Tight End’s coach the past three seasons, and has worked under Bill Belichick for 11 seasons in total. Daboll has won five Super Bowls with the Patriots, and he will bring tons of creativity to add onto ‘Bama’s powerhouse offense.
A $10 bet on Bo at +1400 nets $140 if it wins. Another cheap, fun bet that won’t break the bank and will keep you entertained while you get wrecked on Saturdays. Scarbrough is going to be running people over all year, and now you have an excuse to hop on the Alabama bandwagon and cheer for a man-child to make opposing defenders look like Pop Warner chumps. Sounds fun to me.
If you’re looking to hop on other Heisman action, I like Trace McSorely out of PSU at +3300. That bet has a lot more bang for your buck, as a $10 bet nets $330 if it hits. PSU is a top 10 team this year, and Trace is a returning senior who threw for over 3,300 yards last year with 28 TDs. Not a bad bet.
Get your bets in now because the season has pretty much started, but lines are still available across different books. Hit me up on Twitter at @ConesDeal to discuss, call me a fuck, or keep up with my mush gambling habits..

Can’t wait for this dynasty to fall.
7 years ago at 11:28 amThe fall will be hilarious but it won’t happen under Saban. The guy is an animal.
