Chick-fil-A’s Founder Died Last Night, So Stop What You’re Doing And Eat A Chicken Sandwich
Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A, died overnight at the age of 93. Cathy was persecuted in his later years for openly preaching about his religious beliefs, but he was a man who will be remembered for more than that. His purpose in life was to serve the most delicious fried chicken on the planet.
So stop what you’re doing and cancel your lunch plans. Get in your car and head over to the nearest Chick-fil-A, even if the line is backed up to the street (like it is every day). Then order a chicken sandwich with no pickles and a large sweet tea. Or, if you’re less of a man, get some nuggets. We owe it to Truett to have a delicious lunch today.
Thanks for the chicken, Mr. Cathy. It’s my pleasure eating it.

11 years ago at 12:02 pmNo, he wasn’t persecuted except by the media and gays. When they had the “I Support Chick-Fil-A Day” the line was over an hour long. But that shows you the state of America, that instead even a conservative site such as this focuses on what is negatively propagated by the media. Sorry that I’m pontificating right now, but I’ve seen a couple of “obituaries” and the majority of them were talking about how he was against homosexuality. No mention of the millions upon millions of donations to the poor and abused, or how he was dirt poor growing up, or even how the business became so successful. Anyways, I’ll get off my high horse now.
OK, so he was persecuted for his beliefs.
11 years ago at 12:12 pmSo you’re arguing that a conservative website is falsely claiming that a conservative was persecuted?
11 years ago at 1:31 pmDo people not get that a Conservative site would claim this..?
11 years ago at 1:45 pmI think we were just hoping that you would talk about the plentiful more positive aspects of his legacy rather than bringing up the controversy that he was involved in.
11 years ago at 3:23 pmYou’re right. That was poorly worded. What I meant is that because a loud and annoying small minority of people complained about his Christian beliefs, he is known to be persecuted. Liberals like to say he was persecuted because nobody agrees with his outdated bigoted views, when in reality the majority of people agreed with him. But I understand HelmetStickers point, a conservative could say he was “persecuted” in order to make people feel sympathy for him. Either way, he should be remembered for his delicious chicken and the way he lived, not just one statement made by his son. It was more at a jab at all the articles covering his death than just solely this one.
11 years ago at 5:36 pmFratasaurus is spot on. Helmet Stickers, you gotta realize this isn’t the site go against conservatives/Christian values.
11 years ago at 2:53 pmNo pickles? You call yourself a man?
11 years ago at 12:17 pmHe was a great chef and entrepreneur, but an even better man. Thank you, sir.
