Chris Kyle’s Widow Outshoots NRA Champion In Sniper Shootout
Bruce Piatt is the current shooting champion of the National Rifle Association. Taya Kyle is a novice shooter who just so happens to be the widow of The Legend, American sniper Chris Kyle. The two came together thanks to the company TrackingPoint who claims their precision-guided firearms can turn even the most inexperienced shooter into a world class marksman. They bet Piatt $1M that Taya would beat him — they were that confident.
Taya equipped herself with the new M600, M800 and XS1 firearms from TrackingPoint while Bruce went with the traditional M4A1, M110, and M2010. The two then went through a series of challenges that simulated real life battlefield situations. There were 29 targets overall that the two would be aiming at. Some of these included blind shots, shots from both prone and kneeling, and moving targets. The result? Taya won in a landslide.

She made ALL of her shots from prone, kneeling, sitting and from cover…as in every single one – 100 percent.
How did the NRA champ fare? Piatt made 58.4 percent of the shots.
Sure, she may have been using guns with TrackingPoint, which could be considered cheating, but the reason she picked the guns was sort of a dedication to her late husband who assisted in the creation of the technology.
“The technology of the gun was developed based on conversations with Chris [Kyle] about what factors a marksman has to consider on with every shot,” she told FoxNews.com, via email. “The end result is technology that I know would have saved lives of friends we have lost and will save life and/or limb of those who put it all on the line for the 99% of us they choose to give their life for.”
All in all, Taya is now a deadly marksman and she raised $500,000 for the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation while doing it..
