I am done with those. I am on the serious topic now of how dangerous “faith” is, and how these attacks have been used to justify ass-raping the bill of rights.
If Jefferson and Washington were alive today, they would be cracking some skulls.
Their primary problem with the country would probably not be faith. Most of the founding fathers believed that religion was a necessary stabilizing force for the survival of civilized society.
Thomas Jefferson, the most influential founding father we had, said “The country will never be free until the last aristocrat is strangled with the entrails of the last clergyman.”
Doesn’t sound very supportive to me. Look up ol’ TJ, he was critical of religion as was John Adams.
Most does not mean all. And I’m just going to stop feeding this terrible troll, I don’t get how people get enjoyment out of anonymous online arguments.
If religion is so stabilizing, then why include this little gem in the first amendment?
“The Establishment Clause prohibits the federal, state or municipal establishment of an official religion or other preference for one religion over another, non-religion over religion, or religion over non-religion.” This is the meaning of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”
^ One of the main reasons people left England originally was for religious freedom… Naturally the new law of the land would not force our citizens to believe what the governing body may believe/not believe. And why the fuck did you even post this on this TFM? Geed.
scbro91, horrible people are going to do horrible things with or without religion. There’s nothing wrong with religion; but there is something wrong with religious extremism, whether it be radical islam or the westboro nut group.
TSM? Men aren’t the same as women.
