Basically everywhere that isn’t the North (read Northeast/New England) and the liberal West coast doesn’t sell alcohol on Sundays. It’s called, I don’t know, respect for God’s day of rest?
In New Orleans and other parts of south Louisiana, you can buy liquor just about anywhere, even the gas stations (though the actual liquor stores do close).
We had to do this for our Halloween party. North Carolina to Virginia.
