CNN Can’t Differentiate Between Buttplugs And An ISIS Battle Flag

I’ve been waiting for this moment. With so much careening through the fan this week, the 24-hour news cycle was bound to provide us with some unintended gold eventually. I wasn’t sure on which direction I expected the disaster to come from, though. Was it going to be a caller going rogue? Perhaps something a little too edgy for national TV would be broadcast during one of the many protests and parades occurring across the country this weekend. The only certainty I was aware of was that one of the major news channels would shit the bed. That winner was CNN.

The men and women at CNN were busy reporting on gay pride celebrations around the world this morning when they came across what they thought was an ISIS battle flag. The fear invoked was understandable, especially after France, Kuwait, and Tunisia all felt the wrath of terrorism less than 24-hours ago. They scrambled the international reporters and a “national security analyst” to analyze what they believed to be a developing security scare story. They treated the picture as if the city was on the verge of a major disaster. Was ISIS bold enough to wave their battle flag in the middle of such a public celebration?

Nah, they’re not. In fact, ISIS wasn’t present at all. Instead, it was just a dude waving a flag covered in buttplug silhouettes.

Check this out.

The very effeminate, white male waving the flag among what appears to be at least hundreds of revelers was such an imminent security threat, not a single person in attendance thought twice about his massive flag. Lucy knew what she saw, though, and was sure to report it to the London police, which certainly saved thousands of Londoners from one helluva fabulous attack.

I’m tired of people freaking out over gay marriage. It’s not like they are getting into heaven.

Jesus Christ man we all may think being gay might be little odd but it’s 2015. Many of us aren’t going crazy about yesterday but we do acknowledge that it happened. No citizen in the U.S. should feel as though they don’t belong. We must come together as one because of this

I agree I think they should but my religious belief is that they won’t get into heaven so I’m just saying what I believe in.

Religion should not be apart of the argument, as church and state should be seperate

Not when religious institutions teach the earth is 6000 years old, then it’s time to step in

No mainline Protestant or Catholic Church teaches that the earth is 6000 years old. Get your Jon Stewart/MSNBC propaganda off of here

The biblical definition of a marriage (in Christianity) is a partner. Someone you consummate your physical relationship with. To be legally recognized as married, there has to be a document administered by a religious or government entity and signed by both parties as well as the administrator.

In short; someone can choose to be religiously married without ever being legally married. Should government stay out of religious institutions? Yes.

Marriage license came a long time after marriage was an institution in America. Therefore, at one point, biblical marriage was the only form of marriage recognized in the states. Then, government became involved in a religious institution. You’re welcome for the free lesson, son.

Actually, the Bible portrays marraige as a unique and sacred relationship between a man and a woman, not just someone you, “love.”

This ruling is going to hurt the self esteem of many gays. Before, those who ‘came out’ had a ‘uniqueness’ to them that they felt made them special. With this ruling it diminishes the novelty and uniqueness of being gay. However, gay is simply the method in which one prefers sex.

What the fuck is this drivel?

How is this going to hurt the self esteem of gay people? They just won a battle they have been fighting for decades. It’s like you think gay people love “coming out”. It often ends up with them being exiled from their family.

“What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.” – the principal from Billy Madison

Probably not because she doesn’t know what buttplugs look like. It’s a shame..

I think this is an example of CNN making something out of nothing in order to boost their ratings.

I don’t think so, can you imagine the fall out/embarrassment of showing butt plugs on TV and calling it an ISIS flag? Just another case of zero research before reporting.
