Actually federal law allows for a full military funeral for any active duty or veteran soldier that has not been dishonorably discharged. So if AEKDB in SC has served in defending this country at any time, he can have that flag if he so chooses. And if that is the case, then he deserves that flag, and our thanks.
My Grandfather fought in Korea, and passed away during this past summer. He was buried with full military honors, including an American flag on his coffin. Don’t be ignorant.
