College Pitcher Attempts Sneakiest Baseball Move Ever During Game

Rice University’s Blake Fox knows how to take full advantage of being a left-handed pitcher.

In Sunday’s game versus the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns, Fox stepped off the mound, looked over at first base, and wiped some sweat from his forehead. At least, that’s what he wanted the dude on first base to think.

Fox was banking on the baserunner forgetting he was a lefty, thinking instead that he was a righty. This would have meant his throwing hand was tied up on the hat, and he was free to lead off, or at least stop paying close attention to what was going on.

The pickoff attempt, while mesmerizingly crafty, didn’t end up being successful, and the Owls ended up losing the game. But that won’t stop it from being attempted by legions of little leaguers.

TFM’s own SteveHolt claims to be childhood friends with Fox. Seriously. “I taught him everything he knows about baseball” is a direct, unaltered quote straight from Steve-o himself.

Sure, Steve. We believe you. You lying fucking moron.

Tell Holt to sit on his hand till it falls asleep then pick up a gun and shoot himself. It’ll feel like a stranger is doing it.
