Craft Beer Company Wants Peyton Manning To Stop Drinking Budweiser

Along with winning the Super Bowl this past Sunday, Peyton Manning also divulged to the public that he has the beer preferences of a broke college student. The 39-year-old quarterback shamelessly replied to the question “What are you going to do next” by announcing to the masses, “I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight.”

While the majority of the college community instantly felt a sense of connection with The Sheriff, most likely due to the fact that they themselves were double-fisting two Buds at the time of his comments. One group in particular who promotes various craft beers, The Brewers Association, took exception to his comments. Their solution? Write Peyton a letter outlining their disappointment in his brew choices and send him send him a shitload of free beer.

While only time will tell if the five-time MVP can shy away from his light beer fixation, something tells me that Peyton’s off-season, and possibly retirement, is off to a pretty good start.

I made the trip out Boulder/Denver last year. There are some damn good breweries in CO.

I agree with Colorado. But Asheville North Carolina is the brewery capital of the east coast. That, and Raleigh NC has the beer garden (most beers on tap on the planet). NC takes the cake.

Peyton Manning doesn’t give a shit about beer snobs. He cares about getting plastered and that’s easier done on some light American lagers.

It would be easier done on some craft beers with higher alcohol content.

I hope if they gave him some beer from the over 4000 Colorado craft breweries that means he got at least 24000 beers. (less than a six pack isn’t a sample).

Peyton got paid a shit load to say that. Also, Anheuser-Busch is buying up popular micro-breweries all over the world in order to run the business into the ground and redirect beer focus to shit beers like bud heavy and bud light. In their recent years, beer sales have stagnated and they’re trying to buy out the competition.

Now, what you do with this information is up to you, but if you like your microbrewed beers, let them know not to give in to “the man.”

Budweiser didn’t give him any money to say that, NFL players are banned from being endorsed by alcohol companies. He owns stake in two InBev bottling plants in Louisiana, so he’s just being a good salesman.

I like some craft beers, some of them really fucking suck. What I do hate are the pretentious pricks who look down on me for drinking Budweiser because they pound down 3 triple organic grass fed 1000 IBU bottles of dog piss on a Friday night.
