Did Drake Steal “Hotline Bling” From Another Rapper?

While I am mostly into alternative music — Father John Misty and Lord Huron crushed it at ACL, you guys — I am mildly tuned into the rap game. I did see Drake at ACL too, after all, and he crushed it as well. I happen to know that not too long ago, Drake and Meek Mill faced off over accusations that Drake didn’t write all of his own songs. Drake wound up making quick work of Meek Mill and these accusations by absolutely obliterating him in “Back to Back.” IS THAT A WORLD TOUR OR YOUR GIRL’S TOUR, MEEK? HUH? WHOSE IS IT???

Well, it appears Drake’s in the hot seat again, this time for his current Billboard #2 song “Hotline Bling.” Virginia rapper D.R.A.M. recently called Drake out on Twitter, claiming a similarity between his song “Cha Cha” and “Hotline Bling.”

Just performed in Toronto for the 1st time tonight and it was bittersweet.
