Dutch Driver’s Ed Instructors Can Now Accept Sex For Payment

The Netherlands Parliament ruled that it is legal for driving instructors to accept sex as payment for their services.

Transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen and Justice minister Ard van der Steur addressed the issue in response to a question tabled in parliament by Gert-Jan Segers of the socially conservative Christian Union party, noting that, although ‘undesirable’, offering driving lessons with sex as payment is not illegal.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for a driving educator.

Teach her how to work the stick-shift, then let her work yours. Teach her how to maintain a safe following distance, then slam into her rear-end. Teach her how to parallel park, then poop on her chest.

My question is this: why driver’s ed? That seems like a pretty specific service to allow payment in the form of sex. Why can’t Netherlanders eat their groceries by eating the booty in a similar fashion?

My original guess was that parliament is initiating a sort of two-birds-one-stone strategy. Most people learning to drive are around the age of 16, an age ripe for sexual awakening. A driving instructor could double as a sex coach for inexperienced teens, teaching him how to navigate the complex and dangerous road system, then teaching him how to navigate the equally complex and dangerous female body (which doesn’t even have signs to help you out). But this isn’t the case. The law clarifies that both parties must be at least 18.

The real reason is that driver’s ed is considered a self-employed profession, and all self-employed individuals in the country are legally permitted to accept nookie as payment.

The news will be a shot in the arm for the small legion of (mostly male) computer technicians, handymen and driving instructors who offer their services online in exchange for personal services.

The law also states that the instructor must initiate the sex-for-service offer. This means an instructee short on cash and full of cleavage can’t look at her teacher with baby eyes, bite her lip and say, “Silly me, I forgot my wallet… there must be something I can do…” which eliminates the fantasy that came to my mind immediately after reading the headline.

When it comes to personal freedom, the Netherlands gets it. American lawmakers like to argue that sex is a huge deal while swiping away on Tinder beneath their desks. I say we kill the facade. Legalize sex for service. Legalize prostitution. Make America Wet Again..
