Not to mention many shitty Big 3 cars are built in Mexico or Canada, whereas a lot of foreign competition is assembling cars here. BMW manufactures a ton of cars in South Carolina, ditto for VW in Tennessee.
I will say Ford and Chevrolet have stepped their game up big time in the last couple years, though.
