Fire Department Shuts Down Fraternity Parties Early, Leads To “Riot Like” Environment

Three people were arrested and one man was hospitalized resulting from a fight that broke out near the University of California, Berkeley after local fire departments shut down fraternity Halloween parties around 10 p.m. With nowhere to go an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 students were left “milling around” according to officers responding to the incident. Police downplayed the commotion saying “I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a riot,” but leave it to social media to gladly take that word and run with it.

Obviously, the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle, but whoever thought it was a good idea to shut down the Halloween parties, basically before the night even got started, should single handedly be responsible for paying for all damages that unfolded.

“Make sure these kids have nowhere to go so they can just aimlessly wonder the streets.”

Solid plan, chief.

3,000-5,000 GDI’s rioting and yet somehow the fraternities will probably be held responsible for it, because that’s the only logical solution

I really admired your work with that riot Jesus. It was just a notch below Vancouver after they lost the Stanley Cup. Not bad.

Not being classified a full-blown rioter purely cause you’re middle class and white.

Shutting down a party when they’re drunk enough to riot but not enough to pass out is universally a bad idea.

its not a riot unless the rioters are at least three shades darker than Hillary Clintons heart.

Pretty sure it would be a “riot like” environment inside the parties too
