Florida Gators Desperately Need Kicker For Saturday, Are Asking Around On Twitter
The Florida Gators don’t have great options at kicker. This week, they actually don’t have any healthy options at kicker…so here’s your chance. The Gators made a student-body wide Twitter callout for walk-on kickers on Monday. It’s the wet dream of every average high school kicker turned collegiate alcoholic to tie up those cleats one more time and relive the glory days.

The Gators are 6-1 on the season, but when your team turns to a Twitter call-out for kickers, then you know the special teams situation is grim. Florida’s been alternating between two kickers this year, junior Austin Hardin and freshman Jorge Powell. Neither are healthy this week, with Hardin trying to play through a leg injury and Powell getting injured on a kickoff in the LSU game.
Still, whoever becomes Florida’s kicker has a decent chance at keeping the job, because neither kicker on the roster has great numbers. The current duo is 26-28 for extra points and 5-9 for field goals, kicking a dismal 50 percent from 30 yards or further. If you want to be the Gators next kicker, there are a few stipulations.
Must be enrolled at UF with a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Twelve credit hours?! I didn’t realize we’re trying to find kickers from Harvard.
On the bright side, Michigan’s punter already took the title for worst special-teams fuck up of the year, so Florida kickers have nothing to lose..
