Forbes Ranked The Most Valuable Teams In The NFL

dak-prescott

Everyone has their own NFL power rankings, with the L.A. Rams rounding out the bottom in mine. When it comes to ranking teams by their wealth, however, winning isn’t everything. Forbes ranked each of the 32 NFL teams based on their adjusted enterprise values, with the 2016 rankings seeing the effects of possible relocations and new stadiums. Below, each team is ranked from least to most valuable, with their current value being listed next to the team name.

From Forbes:

32. Buffalo Bills, $1.5bn
31. Detroit Lions, $1.65bn
30. Cincinnati Bengals, $1.68bn
29. New Orleans Saints, $1.75bn
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $1.8bn
27. Cleveland Browns, $1.85bn
26. Kansas City Chiefs, $1.88bn
25. Jacksonville Jaguars, $1.95bn
24. Tennessee Titans, $2bn
23. Arizona Cardinals, $2.03bn
22. Carolina Panthers, $2.075bn
21. San Diego Chargers, $2.08bn
20. Oakland Raiders, $2.1bn
19. Atlanta Falcons, $2.13bn
18. Indianapolis Colts, $2.18bn
17. Minnesota Vikings, $2.2bn
16. Seattle Seahawks, $2.23bn
15. Pittsburgh Steelers, $2.25bn
14. Baltimore Ravens, $2.3bn
13. Green Bay Packers, $2.35bn
12. Miami Dolphins, $2.38bn
11. Denver Broncos, $2.4bn
10. Philadelphia Eagles, $2.5bn
9. Houston Texans, $2.6bn
8. Chicago Bears, $2.7bn
7. New York Jets, $2.75bn
6. Los Angeles Rams, $2.9bn
5. Washington Redskins, $2.95bn
4. San Francisco 49ers, $3bn
3. New York Giants, $3.1bn
2. New England Patriots, $3.4bn
1. Dallas Cowboys, $4.2bn

Seeing Dallas at the number one spot is no surprise, but let’s take a closer look at the bottom eight. This group features such illustrious locales as Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Detroit, and it’s a wonder that these teams are even worth a billion. Green Bay at the 13th spot is living proof that a small-market team can be incredibly valuable if managed correctly, which should give Jacksonville some hope.

If anyone can tell me why a team was ever put in Jacksonville in the first place, please let me know. I lived in Florida for seven years without meeting a single Jags fan, and that makes me sad.

When you talk about ACTUAL value including winning, Dallas is damn near last

The fact that Dallas is #1 in value and still sucks shows how much they fucking suck

Cause no matter how bad a team sucks, it’s still an NFL team. Look no further than #1.

That and the fact that the teams behind them besides Tampa Bay are in shitty ass cold areas. Oh and New Orleans but you know, hurricanes.

They have a cool stadium with the Clevelander and everything and I think Jax Beach is a cool area. Shad Khan’s got a shit ton of money.

Jags are on the rise, man. Give them a few more years with some solid management. Cleveland on the other hand…

As a Raiders fan, the fact that there are 12 teams worth less than them is pretty sad.
