Guns, drugs, beer, and helicopters.

Few people get to live life like the real “Wolf of Wall Street” but former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch IV may have given Wolfy a run for his money. The now 53-year-old was stopped by police on July 10 when his helicopter was caught “landing” in a parking lot in Swansea, IL.

From CNN:

Former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch IV was arrested in Swansea, Illinois, for allegedly trying to fly a helicopter while intoxicated, according to court documents. Prosecutors said they would wait for toxicology tests before deciding whether to file charges.

The events leading up to his detention began to unfold on Monday afternoon just before 1 p.m., when police responded to a report that a helicopter was landing in a parking lot “for an unknown reason,” according to a statement from the Swansea Police Department. The helicopter was already on the ground when officers arrived, and the Federal Aviation Administration was called to investigate.

It is unclear if Busch was the pilot who landed the helicopter.

The balls on this guy. Prescription drugs, a pepper spray gun, three loaded firearms, AND a side arm. All with his alleged wife in the passenger seat. What was this guy’s plan? While us regular folk were dreading the start of the work week, this animal decided to pop some pills, arm his helicopter to the teeth, and take off like Denzel Washington in Flight.

Unlike Denzel, August was released from the police custody the very next day.

I totally get it. When your family is worth $13.4 billion and owns one of the most prestigious brewing companies in the world, it’s hard to not have the ego of Lavar Ball. In that frame of mind, you’re the best and anything you do is the best, so to think anything in this world can stop you from doing what you want to do is ludicrous in your mind.

What people don’t know about “The Fourth,” as his industry friends call him, is that he started from the bottom of the Anheuser-Busch totem pole. It is tradition in his family that they all have to work their way up, working as a brewing apprentice and foreman in packing and shipping operations like a schmuck. Just like Belfort, he knows what it’s like to really start at the bottom (kind of), which is the reason why Belfort and Busch both party so goddamn hard. They know what it’s like to be regular people but were able to break out of that life and become disgustingly rich.

I’m still signed into my ex-girlfriend’s Netflix account because I can’t afford the extra $10 a month while these guys do drugs, plow models, burn cash, and operate expensive land, air, and sea vehicles completely cocked. Oh, how the other half lives.

Like Leonardo DiCaprio demonstrated for us, landing a helicopter fucked up is not easy. Don’t drink and drive, but definitely don’t fly and drive, if you somehow have the option.

If you don’t like immigrant defending, super bowl ads aren’t for you. Just like how if you want to believe that signing inner city youth to NBA contracts leads to enrichment in the ghettos rather than just driving gold chain and 9mm sales, basketball isn’t for you.
