Gary Woodland Takes His Pants Off At The Honda Classic

Yesterday afternoon’s front nine was going relatively well for PGA pro Gary Woodland at the Honda Classic until he reached the sixth hole there at The Champion Course in Palm Springs Garden, Florida.

Woodland hit an off-target drive, as it sailed into a pit of mud with some shallow water in it at the edge of the lake. Rather than drop a ball and take a stroke, he decided he’d go for it. However, before climbing into the mud, Woodland decided he’d remove his white pants and strip down to his skivvies.

Unfortunately, the shot wasn’t quite the result Woodland was hoping for as he sailed over the fairway and into a bunker lying ahead. However, Woodland was able to save par on the par 4 with a quick up and in, like the pro he is. The rest of the day didn’t fair so well for him. He finished with a combined seven bogeys and not a single birdie to make up for it causing him to finish with a 78, which tied him for 61st overall.

You know, white pants always seem like a stylish idea for a round of golf with the crew until you inevitably fuck up and land in the mud. Although, I show proper respect to any man (or woman) who’s willing to strip down to their underwear for the sake of a better golf score.
