Chambliss called his incumbent opponent Max Cleland “soft on terrorism” in the 2002 election campaign. Max Cleand is a triple amputee who earned a both a Bronze and Silver Star for his service during the Vietnam War. Chambliss is a chickenhawk who dodged the draft with his “football injury”. I have no respect for him whatsoever.
Among many atrocities, he voted for the internet tax, SOPA, and PIPA. As a resident of his state, I can say that this dude is only retiring because he knew what he had coming for him in the next election. Although this particular instance is undoubtedly a TFM, he is questionable at best when it comes to protecting personal freedom and fiscal responsibility.
