Gucci Mane Drops New Music Video Filmed At Georgia Tech’s SAE House

There are few cooler things than having a well-known rapper come to your fraternity house. You book the guy, you start spreading the word around campus, people call bullshit (because most the time it is), but the ladies are intrigued enough to show up just in case he actually makes an appearance. Spoiler alert: They almost never show up.

However, Gucci Mane, who I believe is “fresh out” as of May (Editor’s note by Dorn: Yeah it’s true – they freed The Real), recently decided to film a music video at Georgia Tech’s SAE house. That’s kinda cool. What sucks is Gucci Mane’s “Trapped It Out (Remix)” is complete garbage. See for yourself. (Another editor’s note by Dorn: Fuck outta here. This song goes.)

He’s not even trying. You can tell because the first scene is a chick calling him and it’s dark outside in her shot. Gucci, on the other hand, is sitting in what appears to be the fraternity’s back parking lot in broad daylight. Continuity is hard. And can we not dress the frat boy in the worst, most stereotypical frat boy button-up shirt around? Nobody wears those peacock colors and if they do then they deserve a swift punch to the anus.

The problem is that Gucci, who hails from the ATL, remixed a song that was already garbage. This is Lotto Savage’s “Trapped It Out”:

I’m not even sure what “trapped it out” means but they’re doing a lot of it. I’m guessing it means to take a decent house and turn it into a crack house. ECONOMICS!

I miss old Gucci, and the days when rap made sense. Make Rap Great Again.
