Ice cold frat, you suck. It’s called the royal we. Look it up. And then find an education. That’s high school English.

^ you’re an idiot. The “royal we” (see: “majestic we”) allows a singular person to adopt a plural subject as though he or she were speaking for entire group. It does not give one the ability to break the rules of grammar; there still needs to be subject-verb agreement.

Ex. (the president speaking) “We decided to sign the bill.”

He could NOT say, “A republican say they don’t like us/me.”

Again, subject and verb must ALWAYS agree. So please learn your shit before you attempt to sound smart

I don’t expect this guy to go into every detail of his surgical procedure. Everyone knows that surgeons operate in teams and that by saying “they,” we all knew that he was referring to the surgical team as a whole. That would be the subject he’s adopting. It’s implied and easily seen by anyone with a little common sense and the knowledge of the royal we- which is my point. So unless you want him to say “I had a group of nurses and doctors to a surgery on my today. The surgeon said they (the nurses, doctors, as surgeons) had trouble putting me under.TFM” then I ask you to please stop being an ass. You’re not as bad as the original guy though. He’s dumb. You’re just a little arrogant.

Oh. You ARE the original guy. Ha. So you’re just arrogant and like to unnecessarily nit-pick people’s grammar on a website that thrives off of fragmented sentences and horribly constructed gerunds.

I’ll take my lap also for nit-picking a nit-picker. Hypocrisy with conviction. TFM

Are you honestly going to try to call him out for substituting “they” for ” the team of doctors and nurses” when you just used cause in a sentence?
